Jalapão

Jalapão is a national park in the state of Tocantins, Brazil. While still relatively unknown to international tourists, it has grown increasingly popular among Brazilians in recent years—and for good reason. The park features several remarkable and unique attractions, including fervedouras (natural pools fed by underground rivers) where the water pressure prevents you from sinking—a truly unique swimming experience. You'll also find some of the most beatiful waterfalls, crystal-clear lagoons, impressive canyons, sand dunes surrounded by savannah with one of the most beatiful sunsets in Brazil.

The main drawback of visiting Jalapão is the considerable time spent in vehicles navigating rough roads between distant attractions. Fortunately, the scenic views make these journeys enjoyable, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. During peak season, some locations can become crowded, occasionally resulting in wait times that slightly diminish the experience. Nevertheless, Jalapão remains one of Brazil's hidden treasures worth discovering.
